The Game. Are you part of The Game? is the award-w

The Game. Are you part of The Game? is the award-winning illusion show by mentalist and performer Philipp Oberlohr. Through a chain of coincidences, the audience becomes a part of this game. In the process, Oberlohr reads their thoughts and knows things he shouldn't – from birthdays to the names of old school friends. Oberlohr appears to have the strings in his hand, but even he is just a game character and knows: It wants to be played.

As an innovative, genre-crossing show, The Game has already impressed juries, the press, and audiences in Europe. Oberlohr goes beyond the boundaries of typical illusion shows, creating an experience that connects everyone present. You are part of The Game.

The show will take place at our venue (HAIZ) this Friday (SOLD OUT).
We will inform you in due course about future shows.

A huge thanks to the scholarship holders of the “Academy Studio Program” for presenting us their projects! The conversations with the scholarship holders and Nina Schedlmayer (journalist and art critic) about the artistic works that have been created during the program year were very interesting!

MEET THE CREW - JULIA ZNOJ

Julia Znoj about the importance of that the material she uses – often recycled materials alongside construction materials, assembled into fragile objects – holds for her:

“The material often serves as a starting point for my artistic as well as my studio practice. For collecting, walking around the streets, looking at things, and for understanding that material might be something like a (subconscious) language of society, something that tells stories about the architecture of the spaces we enter, their relationships, and their economy. Working with materials has a playful aspect while also possessing an inherent givenness. Forcing the material into a specific form is something I find debatable in terms of content. I try to let it resonate with its history, so that it doesn’t become something completely foreign.”

Julia Znoj is a scholar at the Academy Studio Programme of @akbild in cooperation with @creativecluster_vienna . In an interview on June 27, 2023 she talked about her work to @barbara.pflanzner .
